Marx Electric Train Set #25270, probably from the 60's. This non-working set comes with the original box. Nice for display, or something to tinker with to try and get running again. Box is in fairly good condition with upper right corner split, and some staining on the inside. Contains a non-working black plastic steam type electric engine and coal tender, both which look to be in fine shape appearance-wise. The engine has a center copper contact strip on the bottom, and the rear metal piece that it mounts to appears to be broken. The plastic bodied tender and cars have some rust on the axles and support brackets to a lesser degree, but all looks good for display purposes. The track is darkened from light surface corrosion, but all works fine. Missing the 50 watt transformer. Included are 8 curves to make a full circle, and two pieces of straght track are missing.
